My Interview With Louis. By Jeremy Ulick ANTH 3140 Latinos In The US, Spring 2024

Louis Cervas is my uncle, who was born in San Luis, and is a very easygoing, nice person. And on March 30, 2024, me and my mom went to Louis' house and recorded the interview in separate rooms using Zoom. In order to record the interview, me and Louis went into separate rooms in his house, as not to cause sound interference, and I used the Zoom's recording function in order to record the interview as the 2 of us talked. As the interview went on, I looked at a script with all the questions and their respective themes, and asked these questions to Louis according to the correct order.  As for transcribing the interview, I took the recording for the interview, and used a function in Microsoft Word that transcribed the recording into written text. I then analyzed the text, highlighted certain themes, and edited the transcript to make sure that the grammar was all there.
